ECR 2006 - Vienna, Austria

Day Zero (Night, 2 March2006) - Singapore
Rushed through many things, both at home and at work.
Reminded Din about a few "urgent outstandings"... like conducting some PPAs while I am away. Plus the preparation (mostly to seek clarifications from HRM) for the coming Mass Casualty drill. Interestingly, I realised that tho we may be highly advanced, all these costly sophistication can easily be knocked out by a dead plug! Anyway, 1 week has passed. Still have PPAs to do and so much to updating to catch regarding the MCD.

Rushed home at about 7pm. Need to pack up in a hurry. I brought my good ole Sony along naturally. Afterall, altho it is going to be cold... and wet. Mum seemed more excited than I was. Julie and CK brought me a couple of stuffs becos I seemed totally oblivious to what was about to happen in Vienna at 1 degrees Celcius! There were her favorite KOPI, my instant oak mixtures and korean instant noodles on top of the usual stuffs... Heard that things are going to be expensive there.. No, make it SUPER-EX.

Chatted with Yen while having dinner until 2230hr when I had my shower before heading for Vienna. She was visibly worried also. Reached Terminal 2 at close to 2310hr. Mr & Mrs Tay arrived shortly after, at abt 2330hr. Managed to change into Euros during that time.

Finally boarded the plane and began the 12-hour ride among the clouds! I exchanged my seats with Mrs Tay so she could sit beside her hubby. My seat was the 1st seat of four, in the centre aisle, right infront of the very last toilet at the back of the plane. The plane also carried passengers from Meibourne to Vienna. They looked/spoke like Aussies. There was apparently a group of young holiday-makers estactic over the trip to Vienna. So I did not really have much chance to sleep because these couple beside me was either getting in and out of their seats to use the toilet, or asked for more water. So I got this trobbing headache by the time we finally touched down.

Anyway, I have a couple of thousand more words to say.....
